Our tendency, when under stress, is to rehearse arguments, work projects, unrealized outcomes, etc. This rehearsal becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy for ourselves and our organizations. We will help you become untangled from unhelpful cycles and begin moving forward through our framing process.
At NextGood, we curate new futures in a seven-step consulting process that follows the narrative arc of a comedy film.
Let me explain.
Our tendency, when under stress, is to rehearse arguments, work projects, unrealized outcomes, etc. This rehearsal becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Sometimes this plays out as tragedy, drama, or an unrealistic self-casting in blockbuster hero flick. It becomes very hard to break away from the both the film role and narrative we are unconsciously writing for ourselves and our organizations.
By rewriting and becoming actors in our own comedy we learn how to rewrite our futures, take control of our behavior, collaborate with other “casts members” and write the our scenes as we move forward toward accomplishing our ultimate goal.
What four words do you want others to think about when they think about you or your organization?
